What are Levothyroxine Tablets?

Levotiron T4 50mcg x 50 Tablets (Levothyroxine sodium) are also known as L-thyroxine, it’s a manufactured form of the thyroid hormone thyroxine. This medicine is used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone. They can also be used to treat thyroid cancer.

How does Levothyroxine work as a treatment for an Underactive Thyroid?

Levothyroxine works by replacing thyroxine if your thyroid gland cannot produce it. This will help prevents the symptoms of hypothyroidism.

What is an Underactive Thyroid

An underactive thyroid occurs when the thyroid gland fails to produce sufficient thyroid hormones to meet the body’s needs. These hormones play a crucial role in regulating metabolism, energy levels, and various bodily functions.

Do not eat or drink grapefruit or grapefruit juice, as this can interact with the medicine.
